EMIGRATION BOARDS.
LONDON, May 27. At the annual meeting of the Central Emigration Board Mt J. Eastern, of Sydney, urged the sending to Australia of ex-soldiers, sailors, and reservists, as employers generally preferred this class. A motion by Sir J. Downers desiring more active co-operation in the matter of emigration between the Home Government and the overseas Governments was carried.
