THE-NEW HEBRIDES
SWEPT BY A HURRICANE
SYDNEY, May 18
Advices from Norfolk Island report that a severe hurricane has swept the New Hebrides group.
Ten vessels were driven ashore and four were totally lost.
The schooner J. B. Charcot was lost at Tanna, and the Captain and another white man and five natives were lost. One native was drowned at Ambrym.
