REVOLT IN MEXICO.
AN ARMISTICE ARRANGED. MEXICO CITY, April 25. The armistice has been consummated. The peace conference will probably be held at Laredo or Monterey, General Madero and other rebel leaders participating. April 29. The Peace Conference will meet at El Paso. The revolutionary movement is proceeding outside the armistice zone, and several minor captures by rebels are reported. The United States Government is approaching the Mexican Government, and asking whether Vice-president Coral expressed the statement attributed to him that America fomented the trouble in Mexico in order to force her intervention. It is believed that Mexico will repudiate any knowledge of such a statement. April 30. Reports from. El Paso and Chihuahua assert that a thousand. Federal reinforcements are moving towards Jaurez. General Madero says that the movement of this force breaks the armistice, and he has telegraphed President Diaz on the matter. The reply from the Government stated that it knew nothing about it. General Madero is unable to communicate with' Chihuahua. NEW YORK, April 25. President Diaz, in a message to the Associated Press, is confident that peace is near.
