The Conservative caucus endorsed Mr Borden's leadership, and decided to press opposition to the Beciprocity Agreement to the utmost limit. LONDON, April 8. Lord Selborne, speaking- at an Imperial preference meeting, when referring to reciprocity declared that according to the most favoured nation system there were 12 countries entitled to receive from Canada the same treatment that she has conceded to America. The latter would doubtless be surprised if she had to share the concessions with .12 others. Canada might ask Britain to denounce the treaties. He believed that a remedy for the difficulty lay in the method suggested by Mr Deakin in 1907—namely, a joint system of Imperial negotiation as to foreign treaties. MELBOURNE, April 6.
