- LONDON, April 4. Mr Asquith has conferred a civil pension of £l5O per annum on Mr W. B. Yeats, the poet. Mr William Butler Yeats was born in Dublin in 1865. He was an art student for three years, but he forsook art for literature when 21 year® of age.
