AUCKLAND TOPICS.
By Taihoa. March 20. The jumper T-aiiha, ■who added further to his winning record by annexing' both the open hurdle races at the Ohinemuri Jockey Club's meeting, should continue to provemore than useful over the battens, and may be expected to claim attention again, in metropolitan jumping events ahead. It is understood that the Hon. D. Ormond will send his team to the A.R.O. meeting next month in preference to C.hristchurch. The Soult horse Fort William, who won the two leading event* at the Napier Park meeting, is engaged in the leading races at the A.R.C. autumn meeting - . As he won his second race easily under 9.0 at Napier, it is evident that Fort William is a cut above the average, and he should, all going well with him meantime, give a good account of himself at Ellerslie next month. The well-known Hawke's Bay sportsman Mr T. H. Lowry, will be represented afe thb A.R.C. autumn, meeting by Cullinan, Bsllah, and Sea Pink. V. Colello tihe Hawke's Bay trainer, will, provided all goes well in the interim, bring- a team of jumpers north for the A.R.C. winter meeting.
