THE KAISER IN AUSTRIA
VIENNA.. September 21. The Kaiser, who is the guest of Archduke Franz Ferdinand (heir to the throne of Austria), visited Schoenbrunn, and greeted the Emperor Francis Joseph. September 22. The Kaiser was received with imposing ceremony at Vienna. He thanked the municipality for naming part of the park after himself, adding: " In' your r-seolve I read agreement with the action of your ally in taking a stand in shining armour at a grave moment beside your gracious sovereign. Thi.s was the injunction alike of duty and friendship. An alliance has for the weal of the whole world passed into and pervaded as an imponderable element the convictions and life of both our peoples."
