AUCKLAND, September 14. The proposal to amend the Factories Acfi by requiring thr J ill goods manufactured in the Domf:/ shall bear the brand "made in Ne. Zealand," was discussed at a meeting of the Auckland Boot Manu« facturers' Association to-day, with the re* suit that the following resolution was car< ried unanimously:—That as the time is not yet opportune to brand every article made in New Zealand, this meeting respectfully andearnestjy lodges its protest against the proposal in the amending bill*
