GERMAN MEAT SUPPLY.
BERLIN, September 14.
Replying to a deputation, the Minister of Agriculture negatived the idea of" relaxing the regulations governing the importation of foreign cattle at present, inasmuch as such a course was not likely to relieve the situation as regards dear meat.
September 15,
The Minister of Agriculture states that half the meat consumed in Germany is pork, whereon the poor largely live. September 17.
The municipality at Dresden has initiated a congress of representatives from German cities to consider the prevailing meat famine.
