RISING IN MEXICO

MEXICO, June 7. Indian insurgents at Yucatan, numbering 10G0, under the leadership of Maximilian Bonitta, attacked the town of Valladolid. They killed 40 police and Government employees, and destroyed the railway. A reign of terror prevails, and the insurgents hold the entrenched positions. June 8. Advices from Yukatan state that 7000 Maya Indians are on the warpath. Five hundred civilians and soldiers are reported to have been killed during three days. There is a prospect of the suppression of the outbreak without great difficulty. LONDON, June 12. The Mexican Indian, rising in Yucatan, is reported to have been suppressed after five days’ fighting.
