OTAGO LAND BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board, held yesterday, was attended by Mr E. H. Wilmot (Commissioner of Lands), and Messrs D. Barren and J. A. Macpherson. The application for a small grazing run —Run 236 1) —by William M‘Aughtria was approved. Robert Jackson applied fo’ a temporary grazing right over, the arer reserved at Bannockburn for closer settlement. — Granted a yearly license at an annual •erd al of 20s. Rangei Atkinson reported on he application of Messrs Sievwright and Haggitt to havt section 15, block XIII, Moeraki district, offered at auction under yearly license.—The application was declined. Duncan Bros.’ license to continue, the clearing of gorse to be strictly enforced. The Warden forwarded a report on the Dunedin City Corporation’s application to purchase an area of land adjoining the electric?,! power-house at Waipori Falls. — Granted as surveyed at a capital value of 5s per acre, subject to Governor’s approval. An application to exchange occupation lease for renewable lease, section 24, block 11, Cromwell district, by George Redhead, was granted at the present cp-oital value of 12s bd per acre. Ranger Atkinson reported on the .ppiication of A. Aitkenhead. and Andrew Melville foi a yearly license under section 130 of the Land Act over the river frontage opposite sections 3, 4. and 5, Block 11, South Molyneuy district. —Aitkenhead’s application was declined, and a license granted to Andrew Melville at a rental of £5 per annum. —Mr Chalmer, on behalf of Mr Aitkenhead, gave notice that be would apply for a rehearing. Ranger O’Neill reported on section 3, block XIII. Pomahaka Downs estate, the lease of which had been declared forfeited (l.i.p. 1339). —To be re-offered on renewable lease, capital value £3 7s 6d per acre. Valuation £240 9s 6d, with any additional improvements made to date of sale. The Trustees, Executors, and Agency Co. (Ltd.) applied o; behalf of Elizabeth Wilson fo? a yearly license over the tailings and river reserve oetweon the Manuherikia River and over a small grazing run, section 29, block 11, Tiger Hill district, and section 16. block IV, Lauder district. — Granted; rental 10s per annum. William Richard Parcel!, junr., by his agents, Brodriclr and Chalmer, applied under section 138 of “ The Land Act, 190?,” for a renewable lease over section 6, block IV, Bannockburn district.—Assistant-sur-veyor Barter forwarded a report thereon. —Referred to warden for report. The Warden reported on the application of Mary Ann Kennedy for a renewable lease over sections 6 and 7, block I, Loganburn district. —Granted at the capital value of 16s 8d per awe. F. G. Donnelly asked' the board to reconsider his application for a lease over section 65, block VII, Lauder district.— Declined. The Warden reported on the application of John Lothian for three or four acres of land in. block XV, -Uaniototo district, part of Taicri River bank reserve. —Declined. The Warden reported on the application of John Lothian to purchase or lease portion of section 6, block XIV, Maniototo district, or failing this being granted, tor a license to occupy the whole section. — Declined. The following transfers were recommended for approval:—S.g.r. 147, section 7, block XIV, Benger—John Inglis to John Bennetts; ■s.g.r. 441, Run 225, Poolburn district —F. Noone to Victor Percy Naylor; s.g.r. 376, Run 261. J, Poolburn district—W. F. Dundass to Wilfrid Dyson Naylor; pastoral license 1364, Run 235a — Charles William Harvey to William George M‘Aught rie. The following applications for renew-, able leases »t Matakanui Settlement were approved:—Allotment la, Dividina Sutherland; allotment 2a, Mary Ann M'Guokin; allotment 3a, David Brown.
