" THE CHRISTCHURCH CASE. CHRISTCHURCH, May 27. In the Supreme Court this morning Mr Russell, for Bowron Bi-ob. and Smith, defendants in the action Commissioner of Taxes v.. Bowron Bros., said ihat his clients had to be ready for the hearing of their appeal against the decision of Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., at |the first available sitting of the- court after 15 days. Mr Stringer, K.C., who had appeared for the Commissioner, was in Wellington, however, and the hearing could not be taken at present. Mr Justice Sim said the matter could be mentioned, again on June 17.
