THE CRICHTON FAMILY.

TO <rfrE EDITOE. Sir, —As I am at present, and have been for some time, engaged in preparing a history of ' the whole family •of Crich'toix (sometimes spelled " Creighton" audi " (Brighton "), I should be very pleased to receive from any members of that family such information as to the ramifications of its offshoots as may be in their possession. There is, I believe, in New Zealand l a. number "of Crichtons who have been long settled in the "country. I accordingly crave the publicity of your journal in ordet to reach any of your readers who may hold private records, genealogies, notes in family Bibles, or other* information >as to the various collateral! branches of the family. Thanking you in anticipation,—l am', etc.,

- Douglas Csichton, F.S.A., Scot. (Author of " Sanquhar and the Crichtcms," " The Admirable Crichton," etc.).
