AUCKLAND, April 27 The resuscitation of the mail servid between New Zealand and Europe by waj, of the Pacific is being energetically, worked for by the President of the Auck< land Chamber of Commerce (Mr J. H.> Gunson), and at the present time negotia-: tions are in progress between him and; Sir Joseph Ward and Sir James Mills (managing director of the Union C 0.),. i» connection with the Vancouver service.Sir James Mills left for Australia the other day on business connected with this service, and upon his arrival in Australia! the Auckland Chamber of Commerce ex-: pects to receive communications from himi on the question of a possible alteration of the service, so as to include Auckland as a port of call. Sir Joseph Ward has also been com* municated with on the subject of Govern-' j ment support to such a proposal, and thc ! I Chamber is now awaiting a Teply from him. , i
