MOTHER AND CHILDREN
PERTH, April 28. As the result of divorce proceedings, at Englishwoman named Mrs Hawkes secured the custody of her two children in England in 1904. From the date of the trial her husband and the children disappeared, and the mother remained in ignorance of their whereabouts till a few weeks ago, when she lea;rned that they were in West Australia. Mrs Hawkes arrived by the mail boat this week, and legal machinery haa been put in motion to establish her claims. The mother met her children to-day for the first time for six years.
