THE TOTTENHAM'S MATE'S STOEY. WELLINGTON, April 21. Mr J. Day, formerly second officer of the steamer Tottenham, replying to questions submitted by the Marine Department concerning his story that bodies were seen off East London shortly after the Waratah was reported missing, states that he mentioned it to three men in Melbourne when the Tottenham was there, also to his parents on reaching England. The captain and the apprentice were talking about the matter with the ship's agent in Melbourne.
