ROWING.
ARNST INTERVIEWED. N SYDNEY, April 20. Arnst, speaking to a press interviewer, said: "On the Wanganui River one can always be sure of good weather. The Parramatta, of course, is a lovely stretch of water, but for how long can it be depended on? In the morning it ■is smooth as the proverbial mill-pond, but if one wantedl to row a big race in the afternoon he probably found himself ■battling along through a heavy westerly or stiff nor'-easter. No," he concluded, " give me old Wanganui, for whatever may be said against it, you can always depend on it."
