SOUTH AUSTRALIAN LOAN
LONDON, April 15. It is reported in the city that South' Australia is about to float a loan of £700,000, carrying 3$ per cent, interest, a 101. The prospectus of the loan has beea issued. The sum of £789,400 is underwritten. Samuel Montague and Co. and the Bank of Adelaide are jointly issuing the South Australian loan at 101. ADELAIDE, April 15. The Colonial Treasurer states that th< message refers to portions of two loanl of half a million each sold privately, through Elder, Smith, and Co. a few weeks ago. The purchasers are putting it on the market. It Is not being floated as a South Australian loan at all. Th« Government is not contemplating floating" a loan; it has money to tide over many months. '
