DEFAULTING SOLICITOR.

STRUCK OFi 1 THE ROLLS.

WELLINGTON, April 14. The Court of Appeal heard the cast of in re Hall, solicitor, an application to the court to suspend or strike off th« rolls Richard Williamson Hall, a solicitor practising at Ohakune, upon the ground of professional misconduct. The solicitor had been found guilty of converting a sum of money amounting to £l7 odd to his own use. Restitution of the money had since been made. Mr Gray appeared for the Wellington District Law Society, and Mr E. B. Brown for the solicitor.

The court made an order striking th« solicitor off the rolls, but intimated that if after two years he applied for veadmission, and if his conduct had been good in the meantime, the court would consider his application. Meanwhile the court sanctioned his employment in the office of a solicitor. Costs were allowed against the solicitor to the amount of £ls 15s.
