BURGLARY AT CHRISTCHURCH.

CHRISTCHURCH, April 14.

Some time" last night, or in. the early hous of this morning a general store situated on the Armagh street extension, Linwood, was burglariously entered. The, entry was gained bv boring with an auger several holes in the panel of the front door, and prising out a piece of wood about 6in in diameter. By this means the key, which had been left in the lock in the inside, could be reached and turned, and access was made easy. Money was evidently the object of the thieves, as the till was tampered with, but the result must have been disappointing, as it had been cleared before the store was closed. With the exception of a number of packets of cigarettes, which were taken away, the general stock did not appear to have been interfered with.
