ESCAPE FROM PRISON.
FREEDOM SHORT-LIVED
WANGANUI, April 18.
A prisoner named Ellis, who escaped from gaol on Saturday, was captured by a policeman this morning. The latter was sent in a train north, in case the prisoner might get in at one of the stations, and when the train was slowly ascending Brunswick Hill Ellis was seen to board it, and was duly arrested.
