BALLOON ON FIRE

PERTH, April 18. A balloonist named Selhbe had a. sensational experience here. The balloon caught fire and escaped before he had a proper hold. He was carried 500 ft in the air, but managed to cut away the parachute, and fell to within 80ft of the ground before it opened. Selhbe escaped unscathed!.
