FERRY STEAMERS COLLIDE.

CASUALTY AT WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON. March 30. A collision tool? place in Wellington' Harbour to-night between the Wellington Harbour Ferries. Ltd.'s steamers Coba.* and Duchess. The Cobar was proceeding to Day's Bay with 33 passengers, and the Duchess was coming to town from Day's Bay. The vessels collided off ..Point Jernyngham, near Roseneath. Apparently the Duchess suffered no damage, but the Cobar began to take in water. Both vessels steamed for the city. It was decided to beach the Cobar at Pipitea Point. Thorndon, All the passengers were landed safely. The Cobar is now practically full of water, and the nature and extent of her injuries are not ascertainable at present.
