BIBLE CLASS UNION.
THE TAHUNA CAMP. The proceedings on Monday morning opened with a prayer and fellowship meeting, conducted by Mr C. Sandford, of Christchurch. Before breakfast the. Three-mile Crosscountry Race took place, the course being twice round the grounds, round the pumping station, and once round the course again. G. Wilson (St. Kilda) led an easy first, and M'Naughton (T.Y.M.1., Wanganui) carno second. St. Kilda thus wins the championship sports banner, with a total of 33 points, East Belt being next on the list with 27. . After the adjournment for breakfast the annual meeting of the N.Z.Y.M.M.B.C.U. was opened, Rev. A. B. Chappell, M.A., organising secretary, in the chair. It was decided by a large majority to hold the camp of 1911 at Wellington. Invi : tations were also received from Wanganm and Christchurch.
The N.Z. Executive was fixed for Auckland for tha ensuing vear. The officers were elected as follow : President, Rev. Hugrh Beggs; vice-presi-dents—Revs. A. B. Chappell, M.A., Buttle (Grafton road), and G. S. Cook (ex-presi-dent): secretary, Mr George M. Fowlds (re-elected); assistant secretary* and treasurer, Mr H. P. Burton. Votes of thanks were carried with applauso, and cheers for the kindness and hospitality extended to the visitors. After tea a pleasant .ceremony took place. On behalf of the campers, Rev. E. 0. Blamires, president of the union, presented Mr S. Lear, the camp secretary, with an enlarged photograph of the campers and several volumes of books. Various speakers spoke of the hard and successful work of Mr Lear's secretaryship.
