MEETTNG OF CREDITORS.
In Re E. L. Macassey. An adjourned meeting of creditors in th« estate of Eustace Lin don Maoassey, of Dunedin, auctioneer, was held at the Official Assignee's office on the 22nd inst. There were 14 creditors present or represented. Mr Calvert appeared for the debtor. The Official Assignee (Mr Fisher) said the first meeting had been adjourned to enable the debtor to ma-ke an offer to tha creditors for the furniture. He was authorised to accept £155 for the furniture—bouse and office,—and he had received what he considered to be a satisfactory offer, so that the furniture bad been disposed of. ' - Mr Calvert said he had been authorised to make, an offer of £75 for '.he balance of the assets, outside the book-debts, it being a stipulation that Mr Macassey be /recommended for his discharge. That 'would give 2s 6d in the pound gross. The expenses, which would have to come off, would reduce A. bv about 2d in the nound, . Mr W. L. Moore mor«d. and Mr F. W. Mitchell seconded, that xt.e offer be accepted. The motion was carried with one dissentient. It was resolved:—" That Mr Thompson, accountant, be paid a fee of £lO 10s for investigating the bonk»"
