WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIPS.
FIRST DAY. WELLINGTON, March 27. The Wellington provincial lawn tennis championship tournament commenced on Friday, and was continued yesterday. The finals of completed matches resulted as follow: — MEN'S SINGLES.—R. N. K. Swanston (Thorndon) beat 0. C. Cox (Masterton), 6_4, 6—4. MEN'S DOUBLES.—Swanston and Cox beat Brown and Prouse. 6—3, 7—6. In the junior championships F. Eller won the Men'iS Singles, Mrs Burton and Miss Morgan the Ladies' Doubles, and T. E. WaTd and Miss Dimant the Combined Doubles. The finals of other matches will be plaved to-'moirrow. Mass Nunnellev and ' Miss Travers are to meet in the Ladies' Singles. SECOND DAY. WELLINGTON, March 28. The Wellington provincial lawn tennis championship tournament was concluded today. The results of the remaining finale are:— Ladies' Singles:—Miss Nunnnelly beat Miss Travers. 6—7, 6—4. Ladies' Doubles.—The final between Mrs holmes and Miss Batham and Misses Nun-
nelly and Williams was 'started late, and was adjourned when each side had won a set, 6—4. The match will be replayed onThursday. Combined Doubles.—Brown and Miss Nunnelly beat Salmond and Miss Travers.
