Kawau Island, which is on© of the best' known of the holiday resorts in tha vicinity of Auckland, is to be shortly outf up by the present owner (Mr A. J. F.j Farmer), into suitable lots, both for those! who want a small area for a summer resw dence and also for those who want tcK engage in . farming.' The island, Whiclif was formerly the home of Sir George; Grey, is a perfect paradise in miniature 1 ,; abounding in lofty hills, deep bay% splendid beaches, with good fishing and}; shooting, and; in fact, everything thafj the heart could desire". The island embraces about 8000 acres, and the owner's* intention is to cut it up into sections ofj from one to 2000 acres, every section hav* ing a water frontage.
