THE ALEXANDRA MEETING. The delegates to the forty-third annual district meeting met at Alexandra on Wednesday evening. D.C.R. Bro.-Win. B. GENERAL. The annual report of the District Executive, a summary of which will be found elsewhere, was" read by the D.C.R, and adopted. ■'

The balance sheet and the auditors’ report were adopted. . The new rules passed at the last meeting were confirmed. Every application or assistance from tne surplus fund shall be considered at the next district meeting*; but no resolution voting* monies shall take effect until the sanction of registrar has been obtained.”— Agreed to. . Rule 233, clause 1: Strike out “5s 6d ” in the sixth line and insert “ 55.” And clause 2: Strike out “6s fid” in the fourth line and inse.t “5s ”; strike out “5s ” in the fifth lino and insert “2s fid.” Add to end of clause 2: “ This scale of sick pay shall apply to present as well as ‘ future members.”—Agreed to. SCALE OF CONTRIBUTIONS. It was resolved That Rule 232 be amended by striking out the present scale of contributions, and inserting the following;—

This scale to apply to present as well as future members. MOTIONS BY COURT PRIDE OF DUNEDIN. “ That the sum of £lO 10s be voted to the Juveniles” —Carried. Add to Rule 190 : —“ Courts may select one of the public auditors licensed under ‘ The Friendly Societies Act,’ or two registered accountants, to conduct their j audits, in lieu of the three auditors as j stated above.” —Carried. Strike out in the first line of Rule 197 the words “last court night in December,” and substitute " first court night in October.”—Lost. MOTION BY COURT ENTERPRISE. “ That the District Executive set up a committee to bring in a clause for the payment of the contributions of all members who are now 65 years of age or over, and of all members on attaining the age of 65 years.”—Lost. MOTIONS BY COURT LITTLE JOHN. That Rule 206 be amended by adding after the word “district” in the third line, the words, “subject to the consent of the surgeon of the last-mentioned court.”— i Lest.

'• That the D.E. be instructed to formulate a scheme for the consolidation of the sick fund, and lay the same before next district meeting.'*—Carried. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of district officers resulted as follows:—D.C.R., Bro. TR. Folley (Court Star of the So-ath); D.5.C.R.,; Bio. R. C. Wilson (Court Pride of Dunedin); District Treasurer-, Bro. John Hope (Court Pride of the Lcith); District Beadle, Bro. E. Johnson (Court Enterprise); District Trustee, Bro. W. G. Jolly (Court Enterprise); District Auditor, Bro. D. Anderson (Court Excelsior). NEXT DISTRICT MEETING. On the motion of Court Star of the South, it was agreed that the next district meeting be held at Invercargill. ' JUVENILE COUNCIL. The Juvenile Council and the. Management Committee met on Thursday afternoon. The council's report, which was adopted, showed that the membership was increased, and that a new court had been opened at the North-East Valley. The election of the council resulted: — "W. Black, president; A. Menzies, vice-pre-sident; S. B. Macdonald, treasurer; A. D. Miller, secretary; members —W. Palmer, T. Grainger, W. Love, and G. Paterson.
