LONDON, January 21. The Peninsular and Oriental Company has acquired Lund’s Blue Anchor Lina steamer Taverny. The company has requested the Chamber of Commerce to consider the Port of London rates upon colonial (particularly perishable) produce with a view to a possible reduction of some of the suggested maximum rates.
