A narrovv escape befell a girl at Epsom one day last week, owing to the explosion of a spirit lamp. She placed the lighted lamp on a hot stove, and when she went to put it out them was a harmless explosion. In addition, he was for over 30 yep,rs secretary of the Awaiere Road Board, a position which he resigned a few years ago.
