Weddell’s Annual Review of the Meat Trade estimates that the total output for 1809 from the world’s freezing works was £01,371 tons whereof 488,720 tons came to the United Kingdom. The general improvement in trade during the last quarter Pas already caused freer consumption, and ,t is honed that the improvement will develop, because it is probable that the United Kingdom will have to absorb the whole of the world’s output.
