ADIUDICATION BOARDS
Mr F. K. Kelling, chess champion of New Zealand, to whom no less than 18 unfinished games were submitted for adjudication during the past season, intends to move at the meeting next month of the New Zealand Chess Association that an Adjudication Board be set up to deal with these games in future, in accordance with No. 17 oi the rules of the association. The rule in question read" : — " The Adjudication Board shall consist of 12 members, or as near that number as may be practicable; and membership of Lhe board shall be distributed between the various chess centres of the colony. The members of the board shall be appointed by. and hold office during the will of, the council. Every member of the board shall, whenever he is able, j>ut his services as an adjudicator on unfinished games at the disposal of any club ■or clubs requiring them. The secretary shall supply every affiliated club with the nani-es and addresses of all members of the board." It is anderstood that Messrs R. J. Barnes, W. E. Mason, and A. 1. Littlejohn will be nominated to represent Wellington on. the board.
