MR MASSEY EXPENSES SATISFAC TION.

- (Fbosi Our Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, ' November 11. Mr Massey, Leader of the Opposition, making a statement regarding the Government's land proposals, said: "It is satisfactory to know that a Land Bil! is coming down, and if we get a chance of dealing' with it either this session or next year I feel confident tliat we will be able to make marked improvements to the Lund Act. It is gratifying to myself and others who have contended for the freehold that we have made an impression, on the Prime Minister and the Government, and that they find it necessary to give way and letire as gracefully as they can from the position they took up a year or two ago."
