general in this district in about a week if the weather permits. Roads. —A good deal of repairing of roads is being: carried on around here lately. Some gravel is being putx on, and as this is the bes€ time of tihe year few gravelling it will be nicely settled down by next winter. I see also that some of tlhe bridges are much in need of repair as they are becoming dangerous. Sickness. —lt is with regret that I have to state that a son of Mr Gevigaa has had :o be taken to the Riverfcon Hospital, having lost tiie use of hk legs. We all hope for his speedy recovery.
