U?rom Our Own Correspondent.) AUCKLAND, November 10. An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Waihi Consolidated, Ltd., was held at noon yesterday for the purpose of considering resolutions for the winding up of the company, the mine having been taken over by the newly-formed Waihi Reefs Consolidated Company Mr N. A. Nathan (chairman of directors) presided. Ho moved—" That the Waihi Consolidated, Limited, be voluntarily wound up and that Mr John Highlings Jackson be appointed liquidator " ; " that the share register of the Waihi Consolidated, Limited, remain open until the passing of the company's resolution confirming the foregoing- resolution, and shall then be finally closed." The motions were formally seconded and . carried^ '.
Mr G.* T. Buttle congratulated the directors on having disposed of the oompe-ny's property on such a satisfactory basis. The. new company was also to be congratulated on having secured the services of Mr C.. Rhodes as managing director. He stated! that their area -embraced 300 acres and £ha£ it was cot to be presumed that the £50,000 working capital provided for would be sufficient to develop _the whole of the property.' He believed, however, that the development would be such that there would be. no difficulty in raising further capital for additional machinery and development work.
