A TRAGIC EVENT. LONDON, November 10.
Dr Montagu Guest, brother of Lord Wimborne, died of heart failure while out shooting with King Edward and the Prince of Wales at Sandringham. He dropped down while crossing some ploughed ground. The King and the Prince hastened to assist him, but found him dead.
The shooting was at once abandoned, and the festivities at Sandringham (in-
' eluding a )ieatrical performance) were cancelled.

NEW YORK, November 10. President Taft cabled warmly congratulating King Edward on the happy completion of another year, and wishing him health and happiness in the long years to com*. There were many birthday rejoicings in the colonies and abroad. *
