O'Regan, of Wellington, was . entertained to-night by the delegates to [ the Miners' Federation, and was pret seated with a gold watch, together with . a bracelet, and a watch attached for Mrs J O'llegan. i Mr R. Semple, of Greymouth, made , the presentation, speaking in high terms > of appreciation of the services rendered l by Mr O'Regan as attorney to the Miners' I Federation, but more particularly to the l services given by Mr O'R/egan at the time i of the trouble in connection with miners' ■ ' complaint and the Compensation Act > Mr O'Regan was not. then attorney for i> the federation, but being on a holiday on , the Wost Coast at the time took a lead- '■ ing part in the agitation against the i medical examination of miners — an agitation which led to the Government indem- , ni iying the Government Life Insurance - j Department against claims arising from 1 miners' complaint.
