i ANNUAL MEETING. • WELLINGTON, October 21. i The annual conference oi the New Zealand Association of Veterans was held to-day. Colonel New-all, C.8., presided, and * delegates piesent were : — Colonel Porter, C.8., Captain Barclay, Captain Edwin, R.N., Captain E. Tregear, Major Lomas. Captain Hursthouse, Sergeantmajor W. Christie, Mestrs Turwin, H. Walton. J. M. May, and S. Stidolph (secretary). The annual report stated that two branches had been formed since the last annual conference — viz.. at Wanganui and Dunedin. Regret was expressed at the serious illness of Mr T. Dollman, t-ecretary of the Buller branch. Matters in connection with the veterar:6 had been quiet during the yen: Efforts had been, made to re-establish the Napier branch, but they had failed through the inability to enlist the sympathies of some to take an active inteiest in the association. It was hoped to establish a branch at Gisboine thortly. T'p to the present 101 1 associption decoration- had been gianted, and they had met with favourable approval.
