Town Improvemente. — During the post; few months the Queenstown Borough Council (assisted by the residents) bos made considerable improvements en the appearance of the town. All the main atroet footpaths have been asp/halted xad concrete channels put in. The ratepayers pskt half the cost of the asphalting. The work has been carried- out by Mr Fraaer, of Gore. ,The Attow Borough Council are now niakiog a: move in the same direction, and intend to have the mam street footpaths and channels done in a similar maner. A very; necessary work, too. General.— Jones* Now Zealand Buckj ampere performed dwing th© week at Queenstown and Aruowtowii. At the latter town there was a large aitendanoe of the public, but at Queenistowin the show "was not very well patronised. — Mr W. R--Ambler," formerly of the Prince of Wele» Hotel, Clinton, purchases Mr H. N. Froth's house and furniture at Queenstown, and has entered into possession.
