PALMERSTON AND WAIHEMO A. AND P ASSOCIATION.

The annual meetintr of the Pnlmerston and Waihemo A. and P. Association was held on Saturday at Palmerston, Mr H O'Neill (president) in the chair. The annual report stated, inter alia, that nic annual show had been a success. The gates realised £52 17s, members' subscriptions £67 Bs, members' entry fees £16 8s 6d, non-members' entry fees £15 6s. The sum of £100 5s was paid out in prize-money in addition to goods of considerable value. The most important work done during- the year was the erection of six pens for fat stock, this sapplyintj a lunff-felt want. Tha anaual horsp uarade was held on October 5. and proved a great success, 10 stallions being on parade The death of Mr Donald M'Leod. a life member, during the year was referred to in terms of regret. The following offire bearers were elected for the ensuing- year :— President, Mr D. J. Rcss; vice-preaidf-nt. Mr Roderick Mackenzie; secretary, Mr William Mar-Gregor (reeloctod) ; treasurer, Mr \V. valuable service?, Mr T. Muir was elected a life member. The secretary and treasurer were thanked for their past_ services, and a bonud of 10 guineas was voted to each of these o'Beers. Mr O'Neill suggested that some arrangements should hp i->ado for having the dairy produce exhibited on the show ground. Owing to its distance from tlie ground very few people went to the courthouse to inspect the exhibits.
