RIVAL INSURANCE COMPANIES
BRISBANE, August 30. The Mutual Life and Citizens' Company has obtained a verdict for £1000 and ! costs against Mr Walden, an insurance , agent in the employ of the A.M.P. ComI pany, for defamation by making disparaging statements about the plaintiff company's methods. The defendant denied that he had ever made disparaging remarks. The verdict was for the full amount claimed.
