MR WRAGGE'S FORECASTS.
At 5 p.m. on Sunday Mr Clement 1^ Yv ragge wrote : — , - " All interested throughout New Zealancß are notified that the disturbance named l ' Taylor ' is rapidly approaching somewhat ahead of his lime. Strong winds to local gales from between N.E. and N.W.. v.-itb' rising seas. Winds thereafter will shift tor W. and S. Much rain expected in the course of his passage, but some places will feel him more than others. He promises to make himself felt especially in central and southern parts. It was 'Taylor 1 that; caused the bad w-eather recently in Australia, and small shipping especially on West Coast cannot be too careful. Wet» lington and Nelson may get fits."
The utilisation of cotton stalks in the manufacture of paper has long been recognised as a possibility, and report now comes from Atlanta, Gcorsiia, that a mill is to be put up in that vicinity for the application of tho process on a commercial ™ale. It wJJi cost about £50*000.
