The few holders in the district will not bo tempted to S;IJ, except at a substantial advance in price. Values for oats are similar to last wesk. Several lots, mostly duns, were sold daring the week. With the English market weaker, and load trade dull, there decs not appear to bo any prospect of higher prices. Good clean, heavy Gartons would' find buyers at Is 6d, and duns at Is s|d, but light, inferior lots are not wanted. There are plenty cf potatoes offering, but there is little demand, North Island buyers being able to operate at lower prices at Oamaru and Timaru.
