| WELLINGTON, June 17. ; The Prime Mini-ter informed the press j to-night that during his absence the lion. James Carroll will be Acting Prime ' Minister, and will administer, in addii tion to his present departments, the Goi vernmeiit Insurance and Pnblir Trust j Offices. The Hon. J. A. Millar, in adj (Jit ion to h>6 present departments, will , be Acting Minister of Finance, and will | also hold the portfolio of Labour, as well as having the administration of the Government Printing Office. The Hon. j Geo. Fowlds takes the portfolio of Minisj ler of Customs, and will be Acting Minis- ; ter of Defence. The Hon. Dr Findlay j will be Acting Postmaster-general and j .Minister of Telegraphs, and the Hon. ID. Buddo will be Acting Minister of Lands, and will also administer the Land for Settlements Act. The Hon. U. M'Kenzie will be Minister in Charge i 1 of Roads and Bridges.
