MEETING IN OPPOSITION. WELLINGTON, June 16.

\ meeting of persons opposed to compulfory military training was held in th© Concert Chamber oi the Town Hall.,About 800 persons were present. The speakers wej-e Messrs D: M'Laren, MVP., W. T. Young (secretary of the Seamen's Union), P. J. O'Regan, and Robert Hogg (Socialist organiser). A resolution against compulsory training was carried by a large majority. There was considerable interruption during the evening, but on the whole the speakers had a fairly good hearing.
