Thie morning's call was notable chiefly for a smart rally in Woihi Grand Junctions. On 'Change 6ales were made «p-to £2 4s. The only other on 'Chan«© line was a tramsfer of Bipr Rivers at £2 16e. The quartz mining market has been epeciaUy active during- fchie "week, and a large number of sales have been recorded. Waihi Grand Junctions and Waihi Extendeds wene in keen demand, and a good deall of business was done also in miner stocks. These shares were~ probably ■bought two months ago or more, but previous to these deliveries London had purchased very bieavHy from New Zealand. Developments in tho mine during tihe last few weeks haye proved that the values of the Waiihi lodies are "being main- j tamed, or more than maintained, in .the Grand Junction property. The Empire reef, wht&re intersected from the bottom of the dhaft, is something in the vicinity of 60ft wide. Since the annual meeting and owing to the improved return Roxburgh Amalgamafceds have been attracting a good deal of attention. The contributing issue changed hands yesterday at 7s 6d, and a sale of pa-ids was reported at Bs. Contributing New Aljjines were on offer on Friday at '8s 6d, with buyers at 7s 6d. Business was ■done in Tasmanian Coppers at 5s 3d. New Alpine Consols were -disposed of last Saturday at 3s. There were sellers yesterday at ss, but no buyers.
