SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES. AUCKLAND, January 18. The results of the University Scholarships examinations, which were held by the University of New Zealand in different centres of the Dominion in December, were made available this afternoon. In all 143 candidates entered for the examinations, the first 10 gaining the highest marks being awarded Junior University Scholarships, and the next hig-hest 20 Senior National Scholarships. The latter are of the same value as the former, with ths exception that the ' Junior University Scholarships carry a greater distinction.
