ATHLETIC DISPUTE.
INVERCARGILL, January 11. Regarding the athletic dispute, the secretary of the Wanganui Caledonian Society wired the local society that all the disqualified candidates will be allowed to compete at its meetings, and that the Wanganui had not affiliated -with (lie Athletic Union. The president of this bedy state=s that it is anticipated that the Wanganui conference will result in an amicable settlement. The union decides to-day on th© course of action.
