PORTOBELLO.

The annual break-up and distribution of prizes at the Portobello School took place on the 18th. Mr D. D. Seaton {chairman of the School Committee), who made the distribution, addressed the parents and children on subjects suitable to the occasion, and was followed by Messrs Dickson, Roy, Barton, and the teacher (Mr R. Fergus). Previous to the distribution the, children contributed several songs and recitations. The following is the prize-list: —
