SYDNEY, December 10.
The chief inspector of etock, in a! report presented to Parliament, strongly; deprecates short'distance racing as detrimental to the horse-breeding industry an<D encouraging animals devoid of stamina, at quality which gained for Australian horsea reputation among foreign buyers. H« recommends that the standard height oil animals allowed to race at unregistered! meetings should not exceed 14£ hands. AJ recognised pony standard such as thai* ■would compel horses to compete in their! proper class and. act as an incentive tof stonjging the breeding of weedy animale.
